Family finds treasure trove of Christmas presents from grandfather years after his death


A TikTok video showing a family discovering old Christmas gifts has taken over the internet over the holiday season.

In a video shared to the platform on Tuesday, user @HollyBrooke92 showed off Christmas gifts wrapped for her family by her grandparents and great-grandparents.

The gifts were found by his cousin in their recently deceased grandfather’s house.

“My grandpa recently passed away and my cousin found some great old wrapped Christmas presents in the attic for my dad, my sister and me,” she said in the video.

“We also found an old Christmas card containing money from my great-grandparents who died circa 2002.”

Ms Brooke added in the caption of the video: “It’s wild! Mine says of Nana who passed away in 2015. Rugrats wrapping paper makes me think it’s way before even. #crazy #grandparents.

The video received over 600,000 likes on TikTok.

In the following videos, Ms Brooke unwrapped presents for her and her family.

Mrs Brooke’s gifts included a fleece dress and a Snuggie, in pink, her favorite color at the time.

She said in the video that she always puts a cozy blanket on her Christmas list and thinks her grandparents “made sure [she] I still have something [she] love from them one last time.

Ms. Brooke’s Gifts and Grandparents won over other users who responded with posts in the comments section.

In another video, Ms Brooke thanked her grandparents and said she was lucky to have found the gifts around Christmas.
